It’s always heart wrecking to see a paralyzed dog. But, as per one recent tweet that is becoming viral all over the internet, a little technology and tons of love can go a long way in giving a paralyzed dog a happy and long life.
On Monday, Nick Johnson, 22-year-old from Burbank, California, shared a video of his bulldog named Cudi playing fetch, using only his two legs to chase and grab a football quickly. The video tweet of Cudi playing joyfully even though he is paralyzed, garnished more than 37k retweets in just one day. And people want to know more about this happy, heroic bulldog.
How did Cud become paralyzed
Around two months back, Johnson got the phone call that no pawrent would ever want to receive. His roommate called and told him Cudi is not looking fine. And then 20 minutes later, he received another phone call, saying, you need to come home urgently, Cudi can’t move his legs. Johnson said. Then 20 minutes later, he got another call from his roommate saying that Cudi is not able to use his legs.
When Johnson reached home, he took Cudi to the vet, and there he was told that Cudi’s back legs were now paralyzed because of an accident that can happen to his breed. They said he jumped off bed or couch, and the disc in his back busted. The Vet doctors told Johnson that Cudi is not feeling his legs, and he has nerve damage.
After being paralyzed, Johnson bought Cudi a wheelchair, which Johnson says Cudi is loving. Johnson further added that Cudi is just the friendliest, most loving soul, he has ever met in his entire life. Johnson added, he has been such a support for me throughout my life. He is his little boy.
Seeing Cudi videos go viral and have been able to spread so much positivity on the internet. Other dog owners also started to share their own photos and videos of their disabled dogs who were able to stay positive despite what happened to them.
Taking care of a disabled dog may require more time and work, but with a loving and dedicated pawrent, miracles can and do happen! Positivity is all that we need.
And no one knows it better than 22-year-old Johnson. Even though Johnson was told that Cudi, who will turn two this summer, will never be able to walk again, Johnson still believed Cudi. Johnson says he sees progress every day and Cudi’s legs are twitching. He says he doesn’ t believe that Cudi will ever be able to go on a walk again.
Final words
The story of Johnson and Cudi shows us how a little technology and lots of love can spread so much positivity and love. We hope every pet finds pawrent like Johnson. And to all those pets who are trying to spread positivity even after being paralyzed, they are the real heroes of this world!
